Kobe, the capital of Hyogo Prefecture, is a city that you should definitely visit when you come to Japan. Located in between mountains and the sea, Kobe is one of Japan's largest cities. As in many other cities in Kansai area, Kobe has a great coffee culture with cute little cafes all over the city. If you like fashion and vintage clothes then this is the best place for you as there are many little boutiques with great clothes for a good price. Nankinmachi, Kobe's Chinatown, is a great place to visit. There are food stands everywhere! After Chinatown, towards Kobe's Harborland and Meriken Park, you'll find yourself walking in "Little France" where most shops and restaurants have French names! If the weather is nice, walk through Meriken Park, a waterfront park at Kobe's port and definitely spend some time strolling around Harborland, a popular shopping and entertainment district. If you get hungry then you should try the world famous Kobe beef! Last but not least, get ready to fall in love with the people of Kobe. They are extremely polite, patient, sociable and they smile all the time!
