The other day I visited Ono Castle in Fukui prefecture for the first time since I moved to Fukui four years ago. The castle is located in Ono city, which is about an hour's drive from the center of Fukui city. My main purpose of this visit was to see only the castle. However, I had to rearrange my itinerary for the day when I arrived at a parking lot and saw Ono Castle Town East Square, which is the eastern entrance to the town. It seemed that there would be lots and lots to see in this old castle town!
