Kaenzan Lanzhou Lamian: Halal Ramen

Halal hand-pulled noodles in Tokyo

Just 5 mins walk from Ikebukuro station's west exit you can find one of Tokyo's best halal Chinese restaurant: Kaenzan Lanzhou Lamian. This hand-pulled Chinese noodle shop brings the authentic flavors of the silk road to Tokyo.

You can enjoy halal ramen, fried noodles, lamb kebabs, naan bread and many more dishes. Portions come in decent sizes and you can feel the presence of Sichuan peppercorn and cumin in many dishes.

The hand-pulled noodles themselves are made right in front of you. It's such a delight to enjoy seeing the making of these noodles. Although there is plenty of table seating inside, I would recommend sitting at the counter alongside the kitchen to enjoy this spectacle.

All the food are served here is Halal. This restaurant is popular among locals, tourists, Chinese community living in Japan and especially with the Muslims.

Both English and Japanese menus are available, with English- and Chinese-speaking staff on site too. This restaurant is popular and crowded during lunch and dinner times. You might have even had to wait over an hour to get into the restaurant during peak times, such is its popularity. But the amazing taste is worth waiting for.
